CoreExpress-ECO2: LEMT Functions

LEMT (LiPPERT Enhanced Management Technology) is LiPPERT's way of managing and supervising embedded PCs. It offers features like advanced watchdog handling, supervision counters, and non-volatile storage for asset handling. More details about the used techniques and implementation are availabe in the Knowledge Base section.

The CoreExpress-ECO2 implements these Functions:

  Function name Description

Total operating hours counter Counts the number of hours the module has been run in minutes
On-time minutes counter Indicates the amount of time since last power on in minutes
Power cycles counter Counts how often the module has been powered on
Watchdog timer Set / Reset / Disable / Trigger Watchdog Timer
System restart reason Power loss / Watchdog / External Reset
Fail-safe-BIOS support In case of a boot failure, hardware signals tell external logic to boot from a Fail-Safe-BIOS
Flash area 1024 bytes of Flash area for customer data
Protected flash area 128 Bytes. Keys, ID’s, etc. can be stored in a write- and clear-protectable region
Board identity Vendor ID / board ID / serial number
Temperature Monitor Read the actual temperatures of the CPU and Board. Stores Temperatures at Power-up.
Temperature Logger Stores Min-/Max-Temperature of the CPU and Board
Backlight Control Enable, disable and control the brightness of the LVDS backlight
Power Consumption Read main current and power consumption
Data Logging Log fetched data for spreadsheet calculation programs

BIOS Notes

We support our customers with BIOS binaries and all kinds of drivers for our embedded X86 boards. Usually, there's at least support for Windows and Linux. Some selected boards are also supported with drivers for real time operating systems.Check the table state above for the list of drivers and the current BIOS version. Please contact our This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if the required driver is not listed on this web site.

BIOS loader
To burn the BIOS binary into your module's Flash PROM, there is a universal loader program available that works with most of our single bard computers. This tool requires DOS to run.

BIOS Modifications
You need a special function integrated in your embedded PC's BIOS? We can customize the standard BIOS to match exactly your requirements! Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it about the possibilities and a quote.
